A private, low-cost way to work through marriage problems, a separation or a divorce without going straight to court. A neutral mediator sits with both of you and helps you reach an agreement you both accept, whether the goal is reconciliation or a fair settlement.
Mediation is not therapy and not legal advice. We are not a law firm; any agreement should be reviewed by your own attorney before you sign it.

About Us
When a marriage is under strain, the two of you often stop being able to talk without it turning into an argument. Mediation changes the setting. A trained, neutral mediator from New American Hope LLC sits with both of you, keeps the conversation fair and focused, and helps you work out what you both want to do next.
Some couples use mediation to repair the relationship and agree on how things will change at home. Others use it to separate or divorce with dignity, settling property, finances and parenting arrangements between themselves instead of through a court fight. Either way, the decisions stay yours. The mediator does not take sides, does not give legal advice and does not decide for you.
Court is slow, public and expensive, and at the end a judge decides for you. Mediation is private, usually finished in a few sessions, and every decision is one you both agreed to. Whether you are trying to save the marriage or end it fairly, you keep control of the outcome and the cost.
Whatever stage your relationship is at, there is a form of mediation that fits. Every session is private, voluntary and led by one neutral mediator.
For couples who want to stay together but keep hitting the same wall. Structured sessions where each of you is heard, the real issues are named, and you agree on concrete changes at home.
When the decision to part has been made, we help you settle the practical terms together: property, finances, support and parenting arrangements, written up as a clear agreement you both accept.
Disagreements with in-laws, between siblings, or over money, inheritance and family property. A neutral table where everyone speaks, and a settlement the family reaches itself.
Quick answers to what couples and families most often ask us before their first mediation session.
Marriage mediation is a private, voluntary process in which a neutral mediator helps a couple talk through their disagreements and reach decisions they both accept. It can be used to repair the relationship (reconciliation mediation) or to agree the terms of a separation or divorce without a court fight.
No. Therapy is a licensed mental-health treatment. Mediation is a structured negotiation: the mediator does not diagnose or treat anyone, does not take sides, and does not tell you what to decide. The focus is on reaching practical agreements you can both live with.
Yes. Mediation only works when both people join voluntarily. If your spouse or family member is hesitant, we can explain the process to them in a short, no-pressure call so they can decide for themselves.
Yes. Both of you sign a mediation agreement at the start that keeps the discussions private. Nothing said in a session is shared with anyone outside it, and the mediator will not act as a witness for either side.
The mediator writes up what you have agreed as a clear, plain-language document. On its own it is a record of your decisions; whether and how it becomes legally enforceable depends on your situation and, for divorce or separation, usually on filing it with the court. We do not give legal advice, so we recommend each of you has the agreement reviewed by your own attorney before signing.
Most couples reach an agreement in two to five sessions of about ninety minutes each, depending on how many issues there are. Sessions can be held online by video or in person at our office, and the first consultation is free.
No. New American Hope LLC is a consultancy. Our mediator helps the two of you communicate and reach your own agreement. We do not represent either side, do not provide legal advice and do not appear in court.
The first consultation is free and completely confidential. Tell us what is going on, and we will explain how mediation would work for your situation, with no pressure to continue.
